We are seeking a generous donor to match contributions and help double our impact. Maple Ridge University’s (MAPL) educational consulting, private tutoring, and annual scholarships program values a personal growth culture with creativity at the center of learning. MAPL' inspires to build a foundation that provides educational consulting needs and foster effort and excellence. Our objectives are to promote educational consulting, private low tutoring costs, and provide annual college scholarships. While helping those educational consulting needs, MAPL's vision is to empower those to "Think, Plan, Perform, and Evaluate” their actions. Mapl maintains its program through low private tutoring fees, published book projects, and generous donations. The book project completion included self-publication of 10 poems. MAPL is affiliated with its own non-profit charitable organization with a focus on the college scholarship fundraising. The scholarship will support those in need financially for college. Dr. Pittman is a graduate of Coppin State University, College of Notre Dame, and University of Phoenix. Thanks to the Biden Administration, she is now debt-free and making a commitment to support 1st time college students identified through their merit and resilience recognitions. ​Scholarship Overview- All proceeds will support this cause! Why? 

She is now debt-free from all her student loans—a tremendous relief. This experience inspired her to help others who are attending college. Her goal is to raise at least $25,000 each year through donations. All funds raised will support this initiative. We are looking for a donor who can partner with us by matching our contributions or through petty cash funds.


Mapl is not affiliated with Baltimore City Schools. Mapl is a separate and private entity and generous community giving is needed. Your financial act of kindness and contribution will have a huge impact. Every gift counts and is an investment in someone's workforce future. College Student Criteria.

Eligible students must enroll in college to pursue a high-demand career. Applicants will submit an essay and meet specific criteria; selected winners will be awarded scholarships.


$500 - $1,000 Criteria: A Merit Essay Must Include: Submit an essay describing your academic and professional goals, why you have chosen them, what you have done to prepare yourself thus far and how college will help. To be considered for this scholarship, you must have a GPA of 3.0 or better out of 4.0, and show verifiable community service and stellar grades. (50-75 words; 1/2 page typed; include artifacts and a video of you reading the essay)

$200 - $300 Criteria: This scholarship is designed to honor youth activists, a college student who has overcome hardships of discrimination.To be considered A Resilience Essay is Required : Submit an essay. Everyone faces and overcomes challenges. Describe the challenges you have overcome as an activist and how that relates to you wanting to attend college (50 -75 words; 1/2 page typed; include artifacts and a video of you reading the essay)

Dr. Pittman's BIO, Expertise & Memberships:


Distinguished as a vibrant, driven leader, Kim Pittman united with Peace in America and P&T Models in 1989, as a high fashion runway model, became an Educational Consultant in 1996, founded and created her own LLC and 501c(3) Non profit in 2015, and created her own rental property management LLC in 2017. She is a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society, Coppin State University National Alumni Association and Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority Incorporated. She became a Philanthropist in her community in 2015 and a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha PI). Kim is a member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and New Psalmist Baptist Church. Dr. Pittman’s powerful spirit is committed to deliberate effort in excellence and achievement to think, plan, perform and evaluate her ladder of success. Kim Pittman served positions for her expertise in teaching, administration, supervision, curriculum, instructional design, assessment, project improvement, strategic planning, leadership, coaching, financial planning expertise, entrepreneurship, supervision, project management, nonprofit management, teacher training, pedagogy, andragogy, philanthropy, self-publication, team leadership, teaching, lesson planning, educational leadership, action research, network marketing, fashion runway modeling, fashion choreography, print modeling, and creation of organizations.

Working in collaboration with Mrs. Patricia Harracksingh and her daughter Mrs. Tayvonia Oliver from Peace in America, Kim Pittman is highly regarded for her dedication, commitment, eagerness, instructional leadership, problem-solving, consensus-building, communication, assertiveness, strong-willed spirit, and human relations skills. She believes strongly in the potential of every person’s strength in something and that, through functioning as a member in the Peace in America organization and P&T Models, has shown all youth and adults she has led and become in contact with can achieve at the highest levels. 


Since being a member of Peace in America and P & T Models, she accelerated her leadership skills as a private math tutor for her own non-profit, led youth and adults as a positive role model through her good character, her strong ambitious sight for success, promoting graduates, workforce individuals, and helping to decrease the poverty and achievement gap throughout her years with Peace in America and P&T Models. She was recognized and honored an humanitarians award in 2026 for all her contribution.

Kim defines a trajectory to ensure that youth and adults know the expectations of being college and workforce ready. Kim is actively involved in the community because she increases opportunities for others, helps break the norms of isolation by empowering marginalized opportunities and college financial hardships. She knows that strategic planning, grit, collaboration and unity are actions towards success. 

Kim continues to expand her repertoire in private tutoring, teaching and learning, administration, supervision, and entrepreneurship. It was at Coppin State University that she received her Master’s Degree, Certificate of Advanced Studies at College of Notre Dame, and Doctorate Degree at University of Phoenix. Outside of her past and present work, Dr. Pittman wrote and self-published eleven books which include children's books and her action research.
