Dr. Pittman's BIO, Expertise & Memberships:

Dr. Kimberly Felton Pittman is a distinguished, dynamic, and purpose-driven leader with extensive experience in education, instructional leadership, entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, philanthropy, fashion, and community engagement. Her professional journey reflects a longstanding commitment to educational achievement, personal development, leadership, and creating opportunities for youth and adults. Dr. Pittman began her professional association with Peace in America and P&T Models in 1989 as a high-fashion runway model. In 1996, she expanded her career into educational consulting. In 2015, she founded and established her own limited liability company (LLC) and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, followed by the creation of a rental property management LLC in 2017. She is a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society, the Coppin State University National Alumni Association, Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Incorporated, and The National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi). Dr. Pittman has also maintained active involvement with New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and New Psalmist Baptist Church. In 2015, Dr. Pittman began expanding her philanthropic efforts within her community. Her work reflects a commitment to empowering individuals through education, mentorship, leadership development, financial opportunity, and community service. In recognition of her contributions, she received a humanitarian award in 2026.

Dr. Pittman's leadership philosophy emphasizes deliberate planning, preparation, performance, evaluation, continuous improvement, and achievement. Her approach is grounded in the belief that individuals can identify and develop their strengths when provided with encouragement, structure, opportunity, and appropriate support.

Leadership and Community Engagement

Through her longstanding relationship with Peace in America and P&T Models, Dr. Pittman has worked in collaboration with Mrs. Patricia Harracksingh and her daughter, Mrs. Tayvonia Oliver. These experiences have contributed to the development of her instructional leadership, problem-solving, communication, consensus-building, assertiveness, and interpersonal skills. As a private mathematics tutor and nonprofit leader, Dr. Pittman has worked with youth and adults as an educator, mentor, and positive role model. Her work has focused on encouraging academic achievement, college and workforce readiness, personal development, leadership, and economic opportunity. Dr. Pittman believes that every individual possesses unique strengths and potential. Through education, mentorship, collaboration, and community engagement, she seeks to help youth and adults establish meaningful goals and develop strategies for achieving them. Her community involvement also focuses on expanding educational opportunities, addressing barriers to college access, and supporting individuals who may experience financial or other challenges while pursuing higher education. She emphasizes strategic planning, perseverance, collaboration, and unity as important components of personal and professional development.

Education and Publications

Dr. Pittman earned her Master's Degree from Coppin State University, a Certificate of Advanced Studies from College of Notre Dame, and her Doctorate Degree from the University of Phoenix. In addition to her professional and community work, Dr. Pittman is an author who has written and self-published eleven books, including children's literature and works related to her action research. Her publishing efforts also include a collection of ten poems. Dr. Pittman continues to expand her professional interests in fashion modeling, fashion design, private tutoring, teaching and learning, educational administration, supervision, entrepreneurship, and community service.

Dr. Felton is the founder, creator, owner, and president of Maple Ridge University. Maple Ridge University (MAPL) is committed to creating a culture of personal growth in which creativity, education, and opportunity are central to learning and development. MAPL's educational consulting, private tutoring, and scholarship initiatives are designed to provide educational support while encouraging individuals to pursue effort, excellence, and continued personal growth.

MAPL sustains its programs through affordable private tutoring fees, published book projects, and generous contributions from donors and community supporters.

Scholarship Fundraising Initiative

MAPL is affiliated with a separate nonprofit charitable organization focused on college scholarship fundraising. The scholarship initiative is intended to provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. Dr. Pittman's personal experience with student loan debt has strengthened her commitment to helping future college students pursue their educational goals with additional financial support. Following the resolution of her own student loan debt, she established a goal of helping first-time college students who demonstrate merit, resilience, determination, and a commitment to their education.The annual fundraising goal is $25,000, with all funds raised designated to support the scholarship initiative. MAPL is seeking generous donors, community partners, and philanthropic supporters who may be interested in matching contributions or providing direct financial support to help expand the reach of the scholarship program. To date, $8,8000.00 has been raised.
